6 out of 60

Terrie (Creative Explorer), Lorinda (Everyday Endeavours) and I are all working on making 365 collages in 2013.
We decided to do a little paper swap with each other for inspiration.

Terrie's envelope arrived Friday, and here's what was inside.

With an evening to myself stretching out ahead of me, I sat down to play.  I challenged myself to only use papers from the envelope - no supplementing from my own stash.

I finished six collages, and it was only when I scanned and numbered them that I realized I am officially up to date on this challenge!

Here are the results:

There's nothing like new materials to kick start your creativity.
Thanks for a fun evening, Terrie!

  3. I love this -- people send me ephemera and I do the exact same thing - use what they send me -- fun and challenging. Love what you did.

  5. I'm doing the 365 collage project, too!! These collages are really textural and varied. Mine are kind of in a rut, but I am inspired to use more kinds of papers now. It's a great idea to swap em like that!

  6. Well look what the pile of random stuff I sent you turned into....holy moly, I'm impressed! As I sent it off I'm wondering what the heck you could possibly do with it but I shouldn't have doubted you. I love that you were able to create cohesiveness from randomness and then come up with such great compositions! I'm NOT caught up yet though you and Lorinda are. Guess I better get off my lazy fanny and get busy!!

  7. What fun! I love the 2nd one, just something about it. And the pink and black palette of third one made me realize I really like that combination - might have to try it!

  9. Wow, K!! Well done! I like #1, 3, and 5 the best for all kinds of reasons, and like Terri C. I realize that I like the pink/black/grey combo, not something I'm usually drawn to! Thanks to you, I am! XO, G
