I won! I won! I won!

I won a spot in Jane Davies' Extreme Composition class.
Could you hear me squealing with delight just a few minutes ago?

I love Jane's work.
I took her "keys to dynamic composition" class last year and got a lot out of it.
I want to be able to paint like Jane, without making paintings that look like Jane's.

Here are four Jane-inspired postcards I made last week.





Class starts Wednesday.

    That'svthe perfect way to say it -that in following a course we want to paint like the tutor but still be 'us' not pale copies. And you definitely are so good at making new techniques your own.

    I just read on her blog that you won and had to immediately get over here and congratulate you. You're one lucky woman....I took a class from her at Art & Soul in Portland last fall and just loved it. Haven't taken one of her online classes yet (need to wait til Dan gets a job) but I'll be eagerly watching to see what you do. I love that I got one of the 'jane' postcards!
