Here are the latest in the index-card-a-day project.
I haven't missed a day yet.
I almost missed making one July 3rd because I was up late drawing cats in bars and watching the dreadful final season of the Gilmore Girls and then Max suddenly and unexpectedly had a fever and I stayed up until 2AM keeping him company while he shivered and when he finally fell asleep I realized I hadn't made an index card so I slapped something together before I collapsed. The next morning I looked at it and it was so odd I had to add a few more layers to salvage it. When I look back on this summer's collection of cards I think it's going to evoke the memory of a two-month fever dream.

I like the unusual perspective from the 1st as well, and the one from the 29th makes me think more of a fever dream.
ReplyDeleteJuly 1 is my favorite too.
ReplyDeleteBut June 30 is a close 2nd--I want to stick my fingers in those "holes".
(That's the kind of thing I say at parties that embarrasses my husband.)
The 1st of July one is great indeed but I also like a lot the 4th of July one...
ReplyDeletei like the 7th colors.
ReplyDeleteJuly 2--love the writing! Karen, your art just keeps getting more interesting .
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the asemic elements in many of your cards, Karen. You ARE on a roll---too hard to pick a favorite!
