I haven't given up on my 365 collages in 2013 challenge.
I've made 294 so far, which really only puts me 28 collages behind schedule.

It's not impossible.
Here are a few recent ones that please me.
Some days I push the same five scraps of paper around for an hour and come up empty.
Other days I'm on fire and knock out 10 in a row.
Here's hoping for a few more "fire" days.
Oh yes, these are wonderful!
ReplyDeletewow. Karen. wow!
ReplyDeleteyour work has grown So. Much!
the last two are absolutely stunning!
These are GREAT! I love the chicken! and the bones...and the torn photo...and the other ones too!

ReplyDeleteThese are GREAT! Love the chicken...and the bones...and the torn photo...and the rest...
ReplyDeleteReckon you're on fire most of the time...these are great! LOVE the second one. Would you consider a trade?
ReplyDeleteOOOOH I love the one with anatomical piece. Love the first one too. They are all fabulous but I like those two the very most.
ReplyDeleteFab as usual - I totally get what you mean about pushing pieces around.....on those days my art table looks like a bomb has gone off and I don't have much to show for it. I like the other days though, the ones where every piece of paper works together. Like Jo, I'm totally drawn to the second one (chicken with its head cut off! ha!) but my fave is the third one - I just love the composition! Do I see a little Jane Davies mark making influence? Gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThese are all great. I love the humor in your work, and also your choice of images. The days when you can get many done are the magic days. I have only about 100 collages done, but I will have a tissue collage day this weekend. It's time.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your collages over this year. I'm thinking about 2014 already (don't tell anyone). I think I may really pursue a "course of study" with collage. Some lovely effects to learn how to accomplish.
ReplyDeleteWhat an ambitious project.I liked your comment on dream creations. I think I used to do my best design at WPI when I would swim at lunch. Luckily I wasn't sleeping in the pool.
ReplyDeleteKeep those collages comin'! Glad you're pushing though. these are wonderful! I love that last one. now that i've finally eeked over 300 i'm becoming kinda sad that i have 'so few' left to go. really? and am considering doing it all over again next year?? craziness!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Good luck and have fun with your remaining ones!
ReplyDeleteThose are all simply yummy!
ReplyDeleteYou've done really great with this challenge, Karen. What an amazing collection of collages you must have. Have you been giving them as gifts or saving them all? You could make quite a book of your artwork at this point! Can't wait to see what's brewing for 2014....
ReplyDeleteI miss you.

p.s. I realize you've never been over, but I have a Flat Karen that moves about the house.
