These cards are great! They have a rather "less is more" feel to them, with lots of cool colours (great for hot weather!) and subtle textures. I love the torn paper in card 5. Your combination of collage and paint really flows together.
Your cards are so simple but so inspiring ... I must aim for more simplicity. (can you have more of less of something?). Love the way you integrate painting and collage. Could do with a little of your hot weather. Mid summer here and we all have central heating on, the rain is torrential and the northwest of UK is having floods everywhere. Feel so sorry for the homeowners.
Excellent cards. Come on over to my house -- we break 70 degrees in SF if we are lucky. Didn't make it much out of the 50's on Wednesday......natural air conditioning and all that... Fabulous cards -- even in all that heat you are working..
Great group of cards! A little paint, a little collage, a little stamping....looks like you used some hand carved stamps. As soon as I can get my head above water I have some stamping ideas to try out...I know you're complaining about the heat, but over here in Seattle I'd give alot to have something warmer than 60 degrees! And sunshine...what's that? Why is it we always want what we don't have?
You must be a wrung out noodle. Brutal heat all at once so New England. I see cooling blues and purples, nice! xox
ReplyDeleteLove the cards in these two posts! It is so freaking hot, I feel wilted. I need a fainting couch and some reviving spirits, like a Victorian.

ReplyDeleteLove these cards! And that you maintained ICAD over your holiday's, you have inspired me, when I thought about just catching up the next day.
